Further Research (Packaging, Social Media, Branding)

Packaging

Looking into sustainable packaging that can be reusable. One of the cons of having light-weight packaging is that it might not be sturdy enough to protect the glasses from breaking through shipping.  Have to find some alternative way to create some kind of padding.

'

Interesting concept of having a bag and box. The bag can be re-useable for other purposes such as carrying books, grocery shopping bag etc. It would also be a good way for self promotion.

Personalities

Playing on personalities. Something unique that the customer can take away with them when they purchase their glasses. Fun approach? - Getting people to buy their products.
(Something unique to Mr Foureyes to separate them from the other brands)

Virtual try on / Installation

One problem that I found through my survey answers are that people are not willing to purchase glasses online mainly because they are not able to try them on beforehand to see if the style suits their face shape. This may be problematic to Mr Foureyes as they are currently an online business.
It will be interesting to find some virtual try on for glasses or some kind of installations that lets the customer try on the product. As style is also a major factor in the survey, I think it might be a good idea to have your own style customisation e.g. colours, the shape of the frame.

Instead of having a photo, it would be cool to use the webcam function to detect your face and automatically have you wearing the glasses on screen. This way, the customer will be relieve to see all the different angles of the glasses and how it looks on their own face shape. (Augmented reality virtual mirror)

Customisation & Social Media (Promotion)

With the styles that the audience has previously viewed or saved on their cart, it might be a nice idea to have a recommendation of other glasses that they may like to try on.

Being able to customise your own glasses creates an interactive experience for the customer and their product. Maybe having a booth outside spec-savers or other areas/events that allow people to make their own glasses, take photos and share it on social media. It may be a nice idea to get the brand out in a small city like Wellington.
