Manufacturing
For manufacturing we tried to find an easy and
affordable place for Mr Foureyes to be able to get the installation for
themselves. Something we tried to be conscious about was the budget. The
materials we chose to use were MDF and nylon fishing line, both of which are
really affordable and accessible.
A few options for MDF lazer cutting in New Zealand:
Lazermark
A really reliable and easy service to use, they are
able to help with creatinf iles for cutting and they can also supply the mdf
that you will need for the glasses frames.
Onestop Cutting
shop
Quick process of manufacturing, the team help with the
specific details you have ensuring you get exactly what you want. One stop shop
create an environment where you are able to be a part of the design and making
process.
Redfusion
Lazer cutting creations
Redfusion
find importance in working alongside the client, they aim to give you the best
experience and a ‘personalized service’ is guaranteed. Red fusion work on a lot
of smaller more personalized jobs so would be a great way to go for the
installation.

scope
Installation
Our installation concept includes eight – ten pairs of
colourful, quirky and iconic glasses frames suspended from various locations
around Wellington city. For the installation we wanted to create an attention
grabbing and interactive way for people to get involved with the brand. Our
pastel colour choices are easily seen from afar and the popular places around
Wellington ensure that our installation will be seen and used. To encourage the
public in looking in to Mr Foureyes we have come up with a competition for the
public to participate in.The competition runs over one month and at the end of
the month a winner is chosen.
This will help to build awareness around Mr Foureyes as well
as growing the social media sites in followers
Packaging
We aimed to create a clean and sophisticated style in
packaging to follow alongside the Mr Foureyes style guide. We designed the
packaging to be simple and crisp. One part of the packaging includes a ‘How To’
set up guide for the installation and a competition guide as to how Mr Foureyes
will run this. The other includes the
glasses to be hung and the material you will need.
We have presented three options that the installation can be
attached to the locations with, this will determine the final size of the
packaging.
Social media guide
We have created a social media guide for Mr Foureyes so that
they are able to easily update and run their social media platforms. We have
included in this booklet a way to better understand the ‘dos ‘ and ‘donts’ of
running a business account. This will aid Mr Foureyes in posting fun and
interesting content to their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
Issue:
A few issues Mr Foureyes has encountered include packaging of their glasses, undefined postage system, casual social media accounts, customer’s lack of awareness of company, atheistic and no system of figuring out what glasses customers should buy. Mr Foureyes’s sends out 5 pairs of glasses at a time to customers. The customer then choses what glasses they want to buy, they send the trial glasses back and receive the chosen pair after payment through postage. However there is no system in place for the customer to figure out what glasses to choose to
be sent to them.
Our group is aiming to focus on creating an installation to bring more social awareness to Mr Foureyes.
With this installation design, we want to communicate Mr Foureyes’ personality and have a simple, attention grabbing atheistic using bright colours and quirkly iconic glasses. Through the installations we will achieve awareness of their company.

Dossier Content
Mr Foureyes brand followers
The Mr Foureyes followers are loyal
customers that are genuinely interested in their brand and products. They are long-term, reliable followers who have a clear knowledge of the Mr Foureyes ethos with their 'buy-one, give-one' system. They would already be linked with the Mr Foureyes facebook page and have access to posts and updates about the installation and competition.
Glasses enthusiasts
Glasses enthusiasts are looking for an authentic brand that sells good quality glasses. They are always searching for the best quality product and would go out of their way to research further into Mr Foureyes’ brand because of that. They would find out about the installation through word of mouth and research.

Passersby
Street passersby don't know anything about
Mr Foureyes' brand or what they have to offer. They will be intrigued and interested at the sight of the installation and will be keen to interact and participate in it. Teenagers and children will be a huge part of the participants as it looks fun and engaging.
The selfie aspect will be appealing for teenagers who are known as the "selfie generation". Taking selfies will help spread the word which will be reinforced with the hashtag EYESPYMRFOUREYES. They would also be inclined to work with the installation because of the prize incentive.

Social Media Guide Full Script
Introduction,
Facebook:
·
Profile picture and cover photo should have logo or Mr Foureyes written
on it.
·
No photos should be casual couple photos
·
Keep all posts about the company or helping children with their eyesight
·
No articles unless about your company (should that be one?)
·
About page: put links to other social media accounts -include updated

Profile Picture and Cover photos:
Profile Picture and Cover photos:
Your
Facebook profile should be the most professional social media account you have.
This means using only professionally photographed photos and designs as your
profile pictures and cover photos. However while posting imagery to your
timeline it can be more casual (it is fine to post photos of your progress on
building your company).
Your profile
picture needs to tell the public who you are at a glance! So having a photo of
your glasses on a model with your logo is a good idea. An even better idea is
to have the logo as your profile picture as this will immediately be known this
is your company’s logo – This also makes your company more memorable later on.
The cover
photo on your page can be more casual. Here you want to have a logo on it
(preferably on the bottom left or right side). The cover photo is a great way
to inform the public of sales, deals and competitions you have on at the time.
You want to keep the cover photo as simple as possible with the information you
provide. Putting your other social media account names on there is also a
really good way of advertising. (eg Twitter: @mrfoureyes, Instagram
@mr_foureyes). If your profile picture is the company logo, your cover photo
can get away without having the logo on it.
Quick Communications to Audience:
Quick
communication to Audience is the small blurb you write about your company under
the About tab.
Overview: This is your opportunity to spark an interest for the public! Here you write a brief paragraph or two about Mr Foureyes. You definitely want to include your buy on give one scheme and make sure you explain it thoroughly.

Page Info:
Short Description: Similar to your overview. It can be exactly the same or worded differently. Keep it attention grabbing!
Short Description: Similar to your overview. It can be exactly the same or worded differently. Keep it attention grabbing!
Long
Description: This is where you want to
convince the public Mr Foureyes is the brand they want to go to! Explain in
detail what your company does, why you do it, your aim and the company’s outcome.
You really want to emphasize the buy one give one scheme as this is a major
selling point to your company and makes the customer feel they are helping
others. Also write about your free reglazing scheme for the children who get
the glasses. Including information about your inexpensive glasses range and no
hidden costs scheme is a factor the customer will definitely appreciate and
remember. Include the try on at home system. Use this space to pitch your
company idea. You want to keep this informative and in depth but not boring!
Make sure you get all the important information across but written as appealing
as possible.
Posting on Facebook:
Because
Facebook is the most professional social media account of Twitter and
Instagram, your aim is to keep your posts and information as articulate and
friendly as possible. To keep with this theme, posting strictly only about your
company and related themes is crucial. These themes could link to children
receiving glasses or free eye tests from a charity for example. Try to only
post about your company. This can include promotions, sales, competitions and
your progress with the company. Posting real life stories from children you
have helped will definitely spark an interest to the public. The imagery you
post on your timeline can be a lot more casual in comparison to your profile
pictures and cover photos. Using your own photos to document the building of your
company gives a more approachable feel. We want to build a relationship with
the audience and make them feel they are a part of your story.

Naming your Twitter Account:
For a business Twitter account it’s a really good idea to have it named after your business. This is to make the account easy to find for the customer in Google search. Your username should be @MrFoureyes and your display name should be MrFoureyes also.

About Section:
When writing about the company in the About section, write information
similar to the Facebook Short Description section and make it a lot more brief.
Make sure the buy one give one scheme is clear and easy to understand! Remember
this is a major selling point to your company! In this section include up to
date sales and competitions with the matching hashtag. If there are no sales or
competitions on at the time, keep a relating hashtag on there for users to use
later on when referencing your company. The best hashtag for this is
#mrfoureyes. This links in with your Instagram account hashtag. Make sure to
include your other social media account details in the about section. Consistency
is key!
Profile Photo:
This a company account and needs to be a company related picture. Using the company logo is a good way to get the Twitter audience to recognise the business outside of Twitter, however using a professionally shot photograph of a model in Mr Foureyes glasses communicates what the account is about before clicking on it. You must keep in mind the thumbnail size on Twitter is small, so clear or bold imagery is crucial.

Quick Communication to Audience:
When creating an Instagram account, it is important to write a summary about the company. Keep this blurb brief and friendly. This doesn’t have to be formal. Think of it like the short description on your Facebook page. Write a brief description of the company and make sure the Buy one Give on scheme is well explained. Updating your blurb is crucial when your company has sales or competitions on. Write about your sale or competition in capitals to grab the viewer’s attention. People love competitions and sales so use this space to your advantage to advertise this!

Profile Picture:
Your Instagram account will be the most casual social media account for
Mr Foureyes. For your profile picture, you need to keep in mind that the
thumbnail for the account will be very small. Instagram users scroll fast while
browsing so the profile picture to be attention grabbing. Having the company
logo as the profile picture is a good idea as it is simplistic and stands out.
However using a photo of a model with glasses is great too as long as it is a cropped
in focusing on their face (shoulders up is fine). This communicates to the user
what the page is about before they click on it.
Posting Photos:
Instagram is a great way to show your approachable personality to the public. You want to post photos about your company but they can be a lot more casual and friendly. Using your own photos as well as professional photographs is encouraged! Having a mix of both creates more interest.

When posting photos on your account using hashtags is a great way for
people to “accidently” come across your page. Try using common hashtags as well
as ones that directly relate to the Mr Foureyes brand. Aim to have a hashtag
that other people will specifically use to find your page. Most people will
automatically use #mrfoureyes as your hashtag so embrace it! Hashtagging words
in relation to the company’s competitions is very important also. Remember
hashtags only work if they don’t have spaces and special characters (like $ and
&).
