Target Audience (Personas)

Hipster:
Chad is a 21 year old university student majoring in fashion. He values independent thinking and counter-culture and has an appreciation for art and indie-rock. He can often been seen wearing vintage clothing; plaids, checkered, paisley and tight rolled up jeans bought from their local thrift shop. On his spare time he enjoys visiting organic cafes and drinking artisanal coffee. Chad values independent music labels and often attends gigs to support his favourite local bands. His ideal glasses would be the Donnelly Eco Prescription. “The Donnelly is an over-sized, thin frame that draws inspiration from vintage 60s style. It's perfect for the person looking to stand out and make a statement.”

Business Man (Suit & Tie):
David is a married 45 year old business man working in the accounting firm for the past 23 years. He is a quiet and focused man and likes to be punctual and dress smartly in case of an impromptu conference with a client. He values job security, family and recognition for success. David is living a busy life as a professional but tries to find balance in it as much as possible. As his job involves many people, he likes to spend his spare time alone, reading newspaper to keep updated about social issues around the world, drinking good coffee or spending time with his family.  His ideal glasses would be the Cullen. “Cullen is a polished square unit, with a bold face and arms, that’s a great option for those looking for neutral colours yet wanting to make a strong statement.”

Family Man:
Steve is a 34 married man with 2 kids. His usual routine includes working in the morning and coming home in the evening to spend quality time with his wife and kids. On the weekends he accompanies his kids to football matches and often practices with them on his days off work. Steve prefers a very casual style, something that he doesn’t have to worry about getting dirty or broken easily. He is often found lounging around the house in a button up shirt, baggy jeans and sneakers.  His ideal glasses would be the Chloe. “With a darker-coloured face and distinctive turquoise arms, Chloe is a playful and fun design that is still perfect for every-day wear.”

Outgoing Personality:
Jenna is a friendly and social confident 21 year old who enjoys partying with mates, getting involved in social activities and taking leadership roles in university. She tends to go out of her way to meet and make new friends and start conversations with others who tend to be more timid or shy. She is often described as approachable, friendly, funny and sociable unreserved. Jenna tends to be very confident in what she wears. She likes to wear bold colours and daring clothing pieces to stand out from the crowd. However on her lazy days, she dresses more casual, tank top and jean shorts. Her ideal glasses would be Boise Wood Prescription. “The Boise can easily transition between a fashion forward statement and an every day necessity.”

Virtual try on 2

Bonlook is a company online that I think is doing what Mr Foureyes wants to do. It mixes style, personality and sophistication. The colour pallette and layout are clean and simple but are enticing.
Simple yet affective, The four options to look into at the bottom of website offer a easy and reliable feel to the website and buying online. Aswell as a face style guide for customers to use. We were looking at doing something along the lines of this. I think we need to find a different approach and perspective on it.
This virtual try on was easily understood and could be followed and definitely showed personality and a fun was of doing so.
The feel of this website was really comforting, and if i need glasses i would probably lean more towards this kind of website. Its young and everything is well thoughtout and designed.
